DISPUTE REVIEW BOARD
A Dispute Review Board is an "in-house" resolution process that provides rapid resolution of conflicts during the course of a construction project in order to avoid schedule delays and prevent legal claims.
The DRB panel panel is typically composed of three members who have substantial combined experience with the type of construction that is underway. These panelists are selected jointly by the owner and contractor to provide a neutral and independent review of construction conflicts.
The DRB panel members monitor the progress of the construction work and remain available to the owner, contractor and trades in order to rapidly address concerns as they develop. Upon reviewing an issue brought before them, the DRB panel will issue a written, non-binding recommendation to the construction parties. This process provides a reliable, well-informed and rapid response that is highly effective in keeping construction projects moving forward and headed in the right direction.

As a result, the DRB process provides a very high rate of satisfaction for the construction parties, and an excellent success rate in avoiding legal claims. By nature, this process also generates an unusually positive jobsite environment due to ready access for all construction parties to a reliable conflict resolution process, and increased confidence in the ultimate success of the project.
